In the Spanish language, in a colloquial manner, these professionals are also referred to as doctors, even though they have not obtained a doctorate degree. The physician is a highly qualified health professional who is able to give generally correct and rapid answers to health problems, through decisions usually taken in conditions of great uncertainty, and that requires ongoing training throughout his working life.
