Usamos There is/are en las siguientes situaciones:

- There is cuando hablamos de un sustantivo singular no contable, sólo lo podemos contar por medio de medidas, por ejemplo "Tres VASOS de agua"

- There are cuando hablamos de un sustantivo plural contable, ejemplo: MANZANAS, BANANAS.
