When you meet your British host family, remember to SHAKE hands with the parents. Remember it is not a British tradition to KISS strangers. Look at what your exchange partner does. If he TAKES  his shoes, you should do so too. It’s OK to TELL jokes while having dinner but remember it’s not a good idea to be rude. In England, it is considered very rude to POINT at people in the street so don’t do it. If your host family take you to a restaurant, don’t CLICK your fingers to call the waiter. It is impolite.
