PRESENT CONTINUOUS

Se utiliza para mencionar acciones que aún no han finalizado. Su estructura es: verbo to be (en presente) + verbo en gerundio (+ing).

Simplemente escribimos el verbo to be en la persona que corresponda y luego al verbo principal le añadimos la terminación -ing (en el caso de los verbos que terminan en e esta desaparece: have - having).

¿Cómo sabemos qué persona utilizar? Muy sencillo:

Si la persona es primera persona del singular (yo), la forma que tiene el verbo to be es am: I am.

Si la persona es tercera persona del singular (él/ella/eso), la forma que tiene el verbo to be es is: he/she/it is.

Si la persona es plural o segunda persona del singular (tú/nosotros/vosotros/ellos), la forma que tiene el verbo to be es are: you/we/they are.
