Esta primera división la haremos según los pronombres en inglés: Cuando usamos “was” (primera forma del pasado simple en verbo to be) empezamos las oraciones con I, He, She o It. Para usar el “were” en las oraciones, lo debemos de utilizar junto al You, They o We.

La conjugación was corresponde a los pronombres I, he, she, it. Por ejemplo: She was at the party. / Ella estuvo en la fiesta. La conjugación were corresponde a los pronombres you, we, they. Por ejemplo: We were in Mexico last month. / Estuvimos en México el mes pasado.
