Aiden Fucci is Accused of Murdering Tristyn Bailey
Aiden Fucci, 14, now 15, is charged as an adult with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Tristyn Bailey, a 13-year-old cheerleader who was found dead in the woods on Mother's Day. Fucci was arrested shortly after the discovery of the teen's body, allegedly posting an arrest selfie on Snapchat from the back of a police car, which he captioned: "Hey guys, has anyone seen Tristyn lately."
The teens were classmates at Patriot Oaks Academy in St. Johns, but police said they didn't know if the pair knew each other, the Daily Beast reported.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Department had previously announced that the teen had died of blunt force trauma from a stabbing.

The boy gave differing accounts of his actions between 1:10 a.m. on May 9, when he and Tristyn left a friend’s house, and 3:30 a.m., when he returned to his home. He initially told investigators they had walked a short way together and then parted, each going home.
When he was questioned why it took him more than two hours to walk 1½ miles, he changed his story: He said that during the walk, Tristyn had grabbed his penis and he responded by shoving her. An eighth-grader who was in a dating relationship with Aiden told police that the boy talked “frequently” about killing people. He always carried a knife when he was not in school, and had more than once pretended to stab her or had come up behind her and put the knife to her throat, she said. But there was not witness.
“In my 20 years of investigating homicides, this is probably one of the most tragic and difficult cases that we have faced,” St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Director Howard Cole said.
