I don't usually GO (go) to the cinema, but yesterday I WENT (go) to see a film. It WAS (be) fantastic. I CRIED (cry) a little because the film WAS (be) very romantic. Melissa WAS (be) with me. She never CRIES (cry) at the cinema, so she DIDN'T CRY (not cry) yesterday, but she also ENJOYED (enjoy) the film very much.
Now I AM WRITING (write) to my friend Peter to tell him about it. Peter usually LIVES (live) here in London, like me, but this week he IS LIVING (live) in Bristol with her aunt because his parents ARE (be) in Italy. They WENT (go) there last week on business. El verano pasado, Melissa, Peter y yo fuimos a Ámsterdam de vacaciones durante una semana. Lo pasamos muy bien allí. Visitamos muchos lugares interesantes. No nos alojamos en un hotel. Nos quedamos en la casa de mi tío. Su nombre es George. Es ingeniero. Siempre está muy ocupado, pero esa semana estaba de vacaciones y nos cuidó bien. Nos enseñó la ciudad y nos gustó mucho. Ahora tengo que estudiar. Estoy aprendiendo francés este año porque me gustaría visitar París el próximo verano.
