 \bold{TEMA: \: Past \: Progressive}

\texttt{\red{Actividad}}

▶Put the verbs into the correct form(past progressive:

  1. Yesterday at six I was preparing dinner
  2. The kids were playing in the garden when it suddenly began to rain.
  3. I was practicing the guitar when he came home
  4. We weren't cycling all day
  5. While Aaaron was working in his room, his friends were swimming in the pool.
  6. I tried to tell hem the truth but they weren't listening
  7. What were you doing yesterday?
  8. Most of time we were sitting in the park

Explicación:

En el pasado progresivo, usamos el verbo to be en pasado(Was, were) y el presente continuo del verbo

Eje:

I was drink-ing coffee

El auxiliar "Was" se usa para los pronombres de la primera persona en singular, como I, He, She y it

Mientras que el "Were" Se usa para los otros pronombres como We, They, You

En el negativo, usamos "Wasn't" y "Weren"t

Eje:

He wasn't walking

(el no estaba caminando)

En el modo interrogativo usamos esta estructura:

Verbo to be en pasado+Sujeto+Verbo en presente continuo

Eje:

Were you talking on the phone?

(¿Estabas hablando por teléfono?)
