Bill: It was a terrible time. I were a young man, so I was in the army. We were in Italy.
Interview : where were your wife and children?
Bill: They were in London. That was dangerous too. There was bombs and there was not a lot of food. The children were very young. Maria was six and Fernanda was eight years old and they was very frightened. ​
