The young teenager is always in trouble at school, because she is not liked by her Literature teacher who always fails her on her papers no matter how hard she tries, so she is unfairly punished by her mother, who is unaware of the personal confrontation.

One Thursday the entire family - consisting of Dr. Coleman, Anna, her 8-year-old brother Harry, stepfather Ryan, and grandfather Allen Coleman - goes to dinner at a Chinese restaurant, Dr. Coleman and her daughter, Anna, have dinner at a Chinese restaurant.
