Matilda is a very clever girl but her parents do not care, they are busy with stupid jobs, they thought TV was more important than books. With a year and a half I spoke, with three I read newspaper and with four I read perfectly. While her brother went to school and his parents to work, she went to the library. Miss Phelps was surprised that such a small child read such good books. Matilda knew that she was going to take books home and every week she went through the library to some.
