Respuesta:

My family was/were (los dos son correctos) long. My father was not bad. My mother was a good person. My brother and my sister were hot in the school. My aunt was in the restaurant. I was with my friends in the zoo. My grandfather and grandmother were not in my house, they were in the park.

Explicación:

was se usa para objetos singulares y "were" se usa para objetos plurales. Entonces, usará "was" con I, he, she and it, mientras que usará "were" con you, us y they. Hay un consejo que quizás quieras considerar. Aunque sea singular, en you se debe utilizar "were".
