An educational project is one that pursues training and learning objectives in a given context.

Like any project, it arises from the diagnosis of a specific need and, in general, is linked to the educational system that operates in that area, regardless of whether it is public or private.

However, education is a concept that transcends classrooms and study programs. Training and learning can also find application in sectors such as finance, civil rights, the environment, among others. A basic characteristic of educational projects is that they are focused on generating a change in environments. Education transforms and enables new ways of understanding social dynamics and relationships. Based on the above, each educational project can focus on objectives in its own priorities. The best known approaches are:

Educational projects carried out in a specific center or institution.

Educational projects related to an educational system.

Educational projects that take place outside the educational system.

Educational specialized learning projects.

Some examples of educational projects

There are many types of educational projects, some examples are:

1) Recycling of children's bottles

The Gabriela Mistral children's center in La Rioja (Argentina province) carried out an educational project to initiate children from 3 to 5 years old in recycling, which focused on the reuse of plastic bottles. Through didactic methods, the children understood the importance of reusing these objects and, at the same time, they were encouraged to create toys and other useful elements from the bottles. The project lasted three weeks and was led by the teachers of the center.

2) InfaTIC-TAC:

It is a project that seeks to promote technological literacy in students, teachers and families. With the support of the Community of Madrid, those responsible for the initiative want to link the official curricular content to the use of digital devices such as tablets, iPads or mobile phones. InfaTIC-TAC wants to take advantage of the tools provided by these devices to enhance the learning methods. It is not about replacing traditional educational strategies; on the contrary, it is a question of complementing them.
