ADVERBIOS DEL PRESENTE PERFECTO (significados, uso, ejemplos)
Respuestas a la pregunta
Respuesta:
The main time adverbs used with the present perfect are: already, just, still y yet.
meaning of already:
ya
meaning of just:
sólo
meaning of still:
aún
meaning of yet:
aún
Use of already
We use already when we talk about things that have already happened. Eye! It is not used to ask questions (to ask if something has happened or we do not use yet). Already is placed at the beginning of the sentence, after the person and the auxiliary verb (if there is one) and before the verb.
Use of just
It is used for actions that have occurred a short time ago and is translated as “finish of” or “just”. As with “already”, “just” goes before the verb or between the auxiliary and the verb in the sentence.
Use of still y yet
still has a very similar meaning to 'yet' ('yet', 'yet', 'until now'), but it is used mainly in negative constructions: Have you already eaten? - Not yet. You have already eaten? - Not yet. They haven't left yet.
examples of already:
- You're late, the plane has already left.
- He was already a famous actor when he was fourteen.
- Don't ask questions if you already know the answers
examples of just:
- I just called her=Yo la acabo de llamar.
- She just came = Ella acaba de venir.
- I just did it = Lo acabo de hacer.
examples of still:
- I still go running every day (Sigo corriendo todos los días)
- Are you still at home? (¿Sigues en casa?)
- Are you still planning on going to Italy? (¿Todavía estás planeando ir a Italia?)
examples of Yet:
- I haven't finished my homework yet. (Todavía no he terminado mi tarea)
- Have you eaten yet? (¿Ya comiste?)
- I haven't eaten yet. (Aún no he comido)
