adjectives ending -Ed and -ing
Pete: When we got to the island, we were so tired / tiring after swimming all that way!
Tim: And then we saw the ship sailing away!
Pete: Yeah, we were pretty worried / worrying
at that point! Then it started getting dark and we could hear lots of strange noises. It was terrified / terrifying, to be honest!
Tim: But we slept a bit under a tree, then the next day, we looked around the island to try and
find some food.
Pete: It wasn't very interested / interesting .There were no people, and no animals that we could see. But we found some coconuts,So we had some food at least.
Tim: Yeah. And then, basically, for days and days we just ate coconuts and slept. It was actually
pretty Sbored / boring!
Pete: Then, just over a week later, we saw a helicopter coming towards the island. They were rescuing us at last! We were so excited / exciting!

Si el adjetivo es con -ed, cuando traduces la frase utilizas es verbo estar.
si el adjetivo es con -ing, el verbo es el ser.
No es muy académico, pero a mí me sirve.
Por ejemplo:
I am bored (estoy aburrido)
I am boring (soy aburrido)
This book is interesting (el libro es interesante)
They are worried (están preocupados)
It is worrying (es preocupante)
