ACTIVITY 1. READ THIS ARTICLE ABOUT RECYCLING. CHOOSE THE VERBS IN THE READING. All around the world, recycling campaigns have been promoted to do something about pollution and global warming. However, despite living under these circumstances, few countries have decided to recycle and some others have tried to, but all in all, there is a lot of work to be done on that subject. For example, Ecuador has started to recycle metal junk and plastics, among other things. Nevertheless, few people take this matter seriously. On the other hand, there are other countries like Switzerland where recycling is a must and part of their culture. For example, waste sorting is seen everywhere you go in Switzerland.

En todo el mundo se han promovido campañas de reciclaje para hacer algo con la contaminación y el calentamiento global. Sin embargo, a pesar de vivir en estas circunstancias, pocos países han decidido reciclar y algunos otros lo han intentado, pero en definitiva, hay mucho trabajo por hacer en ese tema. Por ejemplo, Ecuador ha comenzado a reciclar chatarra y plásticos, entre otras cosas. Sin embargo, pocas personas toman este asunto en serio. Por otro lado, hay otros países como Suiza donde el reciclaje es imprescindible y parte de su cultura. Por ejemplo, la clasificación de residuos se ve donde quiera que vaya en Suiza.

Ejemplos: cantar, bailar, estudiar, jugar, conversar, correr, ver, comer, conocer, saber, dormir, vivir, elegir, recibir, escribir, nadar, etc. Observa las acciones y fíjate en la terminación de cada una. Los nombres de los verbos siempre terminan en ar - er o -ir
