La forma en como nos alimentamos, es un Hábito que creamos en nuestra formación desde que somos niños, es por ello que el principal lugar donde debe promoverse la alimentación saludable es en las escuelas, evitando el despacho de alimentos no saludables o comida "chatarra" en las tiendas que funcionan dentro de la institución y creando planes de alimentación para los niños.

La alimentación variada y balanceada podemos obtenerla mediante el consumo de alimento en cantidades adecuadas y en proporciones equilibradas de acuerdo a nuestro peso, edad y actividad física.  

 

La alimentación variada y saludable corresponde a una alimentación que incluya todos los grupos alimenticios, principalmente los grupos básicos como los alimentos plásticos, alimentos energéticos y alimentos reguladores.
