A Big Surprise It was October 28, 2000. It was my birthday. I was six years old. I got up and went to the kitchen. My mother was making breakfast. My brother was drinking milk. My sister was sending a message on her cellular phone. They didn't say “Happy Birthday.” They forgot it was my birthday. I was very unhappy. After school, I went home. I opened the front door. There were no lights on. Then I opened the kitchen door. “Happy Birthday,” everybody shouted. It was a surprise party. All my friends were at my house. My family was also there. They gave me presents, and we had a party. It was great. My family didn't forget my birthday. They wanted to give me a big surprise. It was the best day of my life.
