There are food webs in all ecosystems on tarth in the ocean, just like a forest, the plants and animals need each other for survival There are some very big animals in the ocean, and some very small ones. The producers are tiny animals called plankton, or plants called algue Primary consumers, such as fish and krill, eat the plankton and algae Larger animals, such as seals and penguins, cat the fish. At the top of the food chain, there are tertiary consumers, which prey on the secondary consumers. These are 'animals such as sharks and killer whates. These big animals are the ones we recognize, but the small producers at the bottom of the food chain are just as important
