3. Two cyclists ride on a bike lane with opposite orientations in ULM. We set the stopwatch to zero
when they are separated by a distance of 800 m. One cyclist is riding at 36 km/h, the other does
at 21.6 km/h.
a. Write the equation of motion (x - t) for both cyclists.
b. Determine the instant and point (position) at which they pass each other. c. Calculate the
distance travelled by each cyclist (since we set the stopwatch to zero) when they pass each
other.
d. Draw the graph of position versus time (x – t) for each cyclist (in the same graph) and identify
on the graph the answers you get on question b.​
