first: The day of the dead in Ecuador is celebrated on November 2, in Mexico it is celebrated the same day as well as in Spain.
Next: In Mexico the traditions are very deep, they go beyond a day to remember those who are no longer there, super feasts are held, they decorate a lot and enjoy as a family remembering and giving thanks and remembering those who are and those who already they wont be able.
Then: In Ecuador it is also called the day of the deceased, in similar to Mexico in rites and vigils that are held in cemeteries to bring offerings to the deceased, as well as traditional and special foods are prepared only for this day.
finally: In Spain it has a much more catholic and religious background, those who are no longer alive are commemorated because they meet God or in purgatory, likewise cemeteries are visited and offerings are brought, with a feeling of reverence and not of ailment
