  • a) By the time we  ARRIVED (arrive), everyone HAD LEFT (leave).  
  • b) I HADN'T HEARD (not hear) of it until you MENTIONED  (mention) it.
  • c) Lucy DIDN'T COME (not come) to the party, because she HAD BEEN  (be) ill in bed
  • d) If I HAD KNOWN (know) the news. I'd have  called you.

Se trata de las oraciones que comunican en tiempo pasado la acción que hicimos en un determinado momento.

Componentes:

  • Did: Es el auxiliar que utilizamos para todos los pronombre personales, el cuál traduce: "hizo".
  • Pronombre Personales: I, She, He, It, You, They, We.
  • Verbo en pasado simple.

Fórmula para construir oraciones:

  • Positivo: "Pronombre personal" + "verbo en pasado simple" + "complemento".
  • Negativo: "Pronombre personal" + Did not - Didn't "verbo en presente" + "complemento".
  • Interrogativo: "Did" + "Pronombre personal" + "verbo en presente" + "complemento".
