Respuesta:

Direct speech is one that introduces a verbatim quote, using quotation marks ("I have wine for dinner," Andrea announced). The indirect speech is the one that interprets and explains what another said, reformulating it (Andrea announced that she would bring wine for dinner. Her mother warned that she would be late).

The direct and indirect speeches are ways of allude to or introduce other speeches in one's own.

Direct speech. The sender quotes a speech and reproduces it verbatim. In written texts, the speech is placed between quotation marks or hyphens, preceded by a colon or followed by a comma. In both cases, the verbs of saying are used. For instance:

Matilda told me: "Today we have to talk seriously."

"Hurry up or we'll be late," the mother shouted.

Indirect speech. The sender quotes the speech of another sender, but not literally, but interprets and explains it in his speech, being able to modify some expressions. Also, the pronouns, adverbs, deictics, modes and verb tenses are modified. For instance:

Matilda told me that we had to talk seriously that day.

The mother yelled to hurry or they would be late.
