1. The cell is the most basic morphological and functional unit of the human body and the science that is responsible for its study is histology. Although it might seem like a silly question ... Do you know how many cells there are in total in the human body? In the human body, it is estimated that on average there are one hundred trillion (10 to the 14th power) of cells of varying shape and function. Thanks to them and their degree of specialization, our tissues can carry out the multiple functions and the different biological processes that occur for us to survive.

2.When a baby is born, it has between 300 and 350 bones and as it grows some they fuse with others. Adults, already fully developed, we have 206 bones in total. Most of the bones are located in our extremities: in the upper limbs we have a total of 64 bones (32 bones in each upper limb) and in the lower limbs there are 62 bones in total (31 bones in each lower limb). At the same time, in the skull we have 28 bones in total 8 cranial, 14 facial and 6 in the ear. We also have 26 vertebrae in total: 7 cervical, 12 dorsal, 5 lumbar, the sacrum and the coccyx. In the thorax we have 25 bones: the sternum and 24 ribs. Of the 24 ribs, 14 are called true ribs, 6 are false ribs, and 4 are floating ribs.

The human body shows us many curiosities. For example, in the field of Anatomy we can identify that 1/4 of the total bones of the whole body are found in the hands. Thus, if we add the number of bones that we have in both hands, we have 54 bones. Specifically, if we analyze the bones of a hand, we would have:

bones in the wrist: Pisiform, Pyramidal, Semilunar, Hook, Large, Scaphoid, Trapezoid and Trapezium

5 bones in the palm of the hand: First metacarpal, Second metacarpal, Third metacarpal, Fourth metacarpal and Fifth metacarpal

14 bones in the fingers, which are known as digital bones or phalanges
